This spreadsheet also works for Grubhub, Uber Eats, Post Mates, and other deliveries platforms. You can request a copy…

Door Dash – How Much Can You Make Full Time?

  • Post author:

Most of these gig economy delivery platforms promise up to $25 per hour. My father is a full time delivery driver for Uber, Lyft, and Door Dash with Uber being is primary job. In comparison, I drive Door Dash part time whenever i'm bored. No matter what, I always seem to average $21-22 per hour over each week that I dash. That means the $25 per hour promise is very attainable. This doesn't mean you can expect to earn the…

Door Dash Expanding Deliveries with Dash Force

  • Post author:

About a year ago, I accepted an order from Walgreens pharmacy. I was confused and didn't know what to expect. I had no idea that Door Dash partnered with pharmacies and added shopping orders to the platform. I had to physically go into Walgreens and shop for the customer. I was okay with this, but other Dashers were not. I spoke with Door Dash support and they informed me that I could remove pharmacy deliveries from my profile so that…

The Door Dash #DeclineNow Movement

  • Post author:

I was reading an article on Bloomberg discussing the #DeclineNow movement. Two drivers local to me in Easton PA have been trying to beat the Door Dash algorithm to earn more money. These two drivers, Dave Levy and Nikos Kanelopoulos met as Uber drivers waiting at the airport. They both noticed that when you decline an order in Door Dash, that order gets assigned to someone else at a higher pay. In an effort to increase the pay for everyone,…

Driving for DoorDash vs GrubHub

  • Post author:

DoorDash and GrubHub are currently the two most popular food delivery apps. As a DoorDash driver, I've come across many other DoorDash, PostMates, GrubHub, and UberEats drivers during my deliveries. I started to notice that many of them work for multiple delivery apps so I started asking questions on what service they think is best. From my sample population, the majority preferred the user interface of DoorDash with GrubHub being a close second. I recognized that DoorDash wasn't perfect so…

I made over $21/hr with DoorDash

  • Post author:

At the height of the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, thousands of people were laid off or furloughed. Some jobs were permanently replaced as businesses strategized ways to stay open. Fortunately for me, I was only furloughed for 2 weeks. During that time, like many Americans, I decided to fill in the income gap by joining the gig economy. I joined DoorDash, a food delivery app that is similar to other gig economy companies like Uber, Lyft, GrubHub, PostMates, and InstaCart, to…
